Wicked Romance Giveaway Hop: NAUTI DECEPTION by #1 New York Times Bestselling Author Lora Leigh

Today for my blog post I am asked what is wicked about romance.  To help a girl out I would like to introduce you to Sheriff Zeke Mayes and Caitlyn Rogue Walker from #1 New York Times bestselling author Lora Leigh’s sixth release, NAUTI DECEPTIONS from her Nauti Boy’s intoxicating and sexy series.

I ask you, with a character named Rogue how could I possibly chose any other definition.  Now that we have defined wicked let find out what makes a mischievous romance..

As you noticed above I have picked yet again another Lora Leigh book to write about.  Some might call it a phase.  Other would call it mildly obsessive…alright; I am mildly obsessive when it comes to this author.  It was a few months back when I finally opened the covers of NAUTI DECEPTION, my very first Leigh book.  What I found between those pages, let’s just say, and between you and me as friends, that the characters, the plot, subplot and the sex hot enough to scorch the tips of my finger was what kept this reviewer up into the break of dawn devour this decadent little morsel.  Wicked does not even begin to describe this book.  I guess we could start with the title itself and work our way back.  From page one until the last word on three hundred and ninety this story oozed erotic wicked sensuality.  There wasn’t a time that I didn’t feel the nefarious undertones of the lead character deceiving the heroine (by any means necessary). 

I guess, to answer the question of what is wicked about romance it would be the characters themselves.  It is when an author exceed in making a reader forget they are reading fictional characters and can see their every movement, their every soft caress and devouring kiss as if it is playing right out before them like a living breathing play.  For me this is what I love most about reading.  It is that moment when I do not see characters as black and white words but as living breathing people that I would love to sit down, have a beer and shoot the breeze.
